Itinerary
Day1 Arrival in Beijing (D)
Upon arrival in Beijing, you will be met by our tour guide and transfer you to the hotel. Free for the rest of the day.
Day2 Beijing (B+L)
Have breakfast in the hotel and then visit Tian’anmen Square, the largest public square in the world and Forbidden City which was once home to the emperors for over 500 years in the Ming and Qing dynasties. After lunch, move on to Temple of Heaven, where dynastic rulers in China used to worship the heaven. Then go to the old Beijing area--Shichahai for Hutong and have sightseeing by men-driven rickshaw.
Note: A hutong is an ancient city alley or lane typical in Beijing. Existed as early as hundreds of years ago, narrow lanes, or hutongs were common in ancient Beijing. In the past, several thousand lanes, alleys and quadrangles formed residential areas for ordinary people living in the capital. Today, as the city develops into an international metropolis, its lanes and alleyways are disappearing at a fast pace, but, still occupies one fourth of the city proper, still serve as dwellings for one third of the total urban population.
Day3 Beijing (B+L)
Today, after the breakfast in the hotel, we will drive the famous section of the Great Wall-Badaling Section. Cable car is available on the Great Wall. (Not including in the itinerary)Here you have two choices. You can visit Badaling Great Wall or Mutianyu Great Wall. .And then visit the Sacred Way and the Ming Tombs, where 13 emperors of the Ming dynasty (1368-1644) were buried. Chinese lunch is included. Drive back to the hotel.
Day4 Beijing Departure (B)
After breakfast, visit the Summer Palace, a former summer resort for the royal family. See off at the airport.
